Ali BaleticToday we introduce two new names from the London scene. The Excellos, who inherit traditions of the fruitful pub rock scene, and loud rockers The Fireworks. Stonefield are three ladies from Victoria in Australia. Elouise Walker from Los Angeles fronts the new band named after her first name, Elouise. We wrap things out with two singer songwriters, Steve Dawson from Canada and Graham Winchester from Memphis TN.

Ali BaleticToday we introduce several new bands. First of all, there’s Gladiola from Boston, lead by Bill Madden. Then Tim Sendra (ex Veronica Lake) has new band over in Seattle called Blue Jeans. Martha are a collective of your singer-songwriters and band members (nobody in the band is named Martha!). Ray Paul is a power pop artist and Ali Beletic is a sculptor, painter and a singer-songwriter of a unique style. We say our final goodbye to legendary Alan Vega of Suicide who passed away recently at the age of 78.

Thee Fine LinesToday we introduce three guys that have been playing together for 15 years now over in Springfield MO, but we hear them now for the first time: Thee Fine Lines. Mystery Lights came down from California to make a record at Daptone Studio and we check it out. There’s a new tribute to Tom Morgan’s Smudge album Manilow and we check it out. Cody Dickinson of The North Mississippi Allstars has a new solo record, he’s catching up to his brother’s impressive solo output.

Jenny Don'tToday we have one new band with all female members. The Beverleys – three ladies from Toronto. Jenny Don’t ails from Portland and fronts her punk rock band Don’t. We also introduce the new band for Chris Shaw from Ex Cult, Ty Segall and Charles Moothart from Fuzz called Goggs. The man that made my favorite record last year, Andy Gabbard visited Cleveland and played some new tunes. My field recorder was ready. We also introduce Cowboys from Bloomington IN and a Toronto supergroup Highest Orders. One of the most pleasant surprises this week is Leland Sundries from New York and their new record called Music For Outcasts. Senior Service is an instrumental band from UK. Prkos Drumski covers Fairport Convention by the camp fire and we check it out.
