Lelee

Today we have a couple of new releases from the States. From Milwaukee, we have the new band for us, Rexxx, over in Texas, Night Beats released a new album. Poison Boys from Chicago have a new single for Madd in Chico, CA. Now, the latter artists creates troubles for tracking them down, because we had them previously as Madde and as The Viles, but we’re still keeping an eye on them. In Australia, we check out Brenton Manser and The Disciples of Zen. Over in Italy, Radio Days has a new recrod. And lastly, in Slovenia, Lelee has just released probably the strongest album in Yugoslavia since the breakup of the country. Period! We finish the show with a tribute to Zoran Simjanovic, one of the pioneers of Yugo Rock and an important movie score composer who passed away on April 11 this year.

Rosali

In the recent years, every now and then, a great female artists shows up on the country scene. And this week, we have a really food selection of those with new tunes. Rosali teamed up with David Nance on her new record and the results are great. Jenny Don’t and her Spurs from Portland, Oregon push through with a new album. We introduce also Kelly McFarling from California, Janet Simpson from Alabama. Hilde Vos is based out in Netherlands, but fits in perfectly in this largely North American line up. Shaye Zadravec from Canada covers an alt country anthem Windfall by Son Volt. Original was a huge hit on KLSU. We open up with a new track from DeeOgGee (who used to go by as Barefoot Gypsies) and we check out the country band from Australia, Michael Carpenter and The Banks Brothers.
