We start of today with and awesome hit single Discotheque by the new band here at the Little Lighthouse called The Cry! from Portland OR. It’s a part of a split single with The Connection who we know well by now. Then we check out The Len Price 3, who finally put out a follow up on their great LP called Pictures back in 2010. The new record is called Nobody Knows and they come from traditionally active Medway scene in England. Arbouretum from Baltimore, MD are back with the new ep, which entirely consists of the Gordon Lightfoot tunes and it represents the peak of the renewed interest about him on the modern scene. Ty Segall is putting out records so frequently, I can’t even count them anymore. But the new one is with his new band called Fuzz and it’s a heavy record done in the manner of the 70s hard rock, where he joined forces with the guitarist Charlie Moothart. Finally we have Dead Milkmen today. They put out four 7″ singles, totaling 12 new songs (almost like an LP!) recently. We check out one of the tunes which they performed together with Philadelphia singer Audrey Crash and we also check out a part of their recent show in Cleveland. They were supposed to play at the Cleveland Public Theater, but the power went down. So they took the show over to WCSB.

We have some interesting reissues today. Tav Falco continues reissues of his opus with a second installment of Lore and Testament which compiles two EPs and one live concert in Vienna from 1986. Another reissue today is a 2cd set that compiles the music from the 80s rock band in Zagreb called Trobecove Krušne Peći. New stuff today is a new song from John Paul Keith, new debut album from The Connection, and the new record for Ty Segall. Tim Williams is back with his Summer Suns with a new record called Eulalie. The only truly new band today is The Torments from Cleveland, who we feature in our regular live in CLE segment.
Today we review some parts of the blooming and booming new San Francisco rock’n’roll scene, lead by Ty Segall who has a new album out there called Twins. We also check out the wonderful cajuns from Switzerland, Mama Rosin, who made a new album in New York City with Jon Spencer and also have another ad-hoc project called Les Frères Souchet. Talking about the Francophone stuff, we have a new single for Perpignan’s Jack of Heart and including their potent cover of Gun Club’s For The Love of Ivy recorded live in Cleveland. We close the show with Amy Lavere and Shannon McNally with their new tour rehearsal tapes and with Lucy Kaplansky’s cover of The Beatles tune I’m Looking Through You.
Today we introduce two new artists at the Little Lighthouse. Both are coming from Atlanta, Georgia. Vincas remind me a lot on All The Saints, who are also from there. I wonder what happened to them. We also have a new blues band from Atlanta, Delta Moon. Ty Segall is very active. Besides his brand new record with White Fence, he also has a new record with his own band called Slaughterhouse. One of the most interesting reissues so far this year is The Red Bird Girls Very First Time in True Stereo which introduces some of the most interesting singles from Red Bird Records for the first time in stereo.
Today we have new songs for the Sub Pop band Beachwood Sparks who were a big surprise some ten years ago when they first appeared. They are back with the new music after almost a decade of silence. King Tuff aka Kyle Thomas has a new single out and we check it out today. Ty Segall joined forces with White Fence on their new album together called Hair. New name in today’s show is a Nashville group of musicians go by the moniker The Altered Statesman. In our segment Live In Cleveland we have Joe Grushecky. Today’s show is dedicated to Levon Helm, legendary drummer of The Band who died recently.
Today we have a large block dedicated to Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin. We know Ty from our earlier shows. Mikal is in his band, and also has a solo record which offers a new standard for the snot punk scene. It’s a wonderful result that showcases a new, yet fully mature songwriter. We also have a new album for The Bangles and their producer, Matthew Sweet. Glossary are back with the new record Long Live All of Us. John Doe tours USA with X, they were in Cleveland on Tuesday, but he also has a solo record out called Keeper. Tommy Keene is back with Behind The Parade. We dedicate today’s show to Jerry Leiber, one half of the songwriting tandem Leiber and Stoller, who passed away on August 22 this year.
We take it easy today. I haven’t heard much from Peter Blegvad in a while, so I hit a search on him. It turns out he’s been putting new songs up on an excellent podcast called 
We are sad to hear that two ladies that influenced pop and rock music greatly from completely opposite directions passed away recently within a single day. One is Poly Styrene, legendary front woman from the X-ray Spex. This punk sister changed the music forever with the unforgettable opening lines “Some people think that little girls should be seen and not heard. But i think: oh bondage, up yours! 1,2,3,4!”. The other one is Phoebe Snow, a singer songwriter from New York City that also changed the face of the music with her first album in 1974. Many performers today, and not only women, borrow today a lot from these two and they will be remembered. Other than paying tributes to Phoebe and Poly, we also introduce a new female singer songwriter Bonnie Whitmore from Nashville. Sam Phillips is also back with her new album. Then we also have a brand new EP for Ty Segall, which entirely consists of T Rex covers. Another new name today is Hunx and His Punks, also from San Francisco, just like Ty Segall.
