Today we bring you the new music from King Khan and Detroit band Tin Foil. Speaking of Detroit, Danny Kroha is back with his second strictly acoustic blues album. Billy Childish has been active recently with several releases and the latest one is with his William Loveday Intention under the title Blud Under The Bridge. David Nance is also super active recently, with two new digital releases, one being a live show and the other one being a tribute to Devo. We also check out Dirtiest, punks from Italy. Towards the end of the show we pay respect to fallen heros, Hilton Valentine of Animals and Sean Tyla of Ducks Deluxe.

David Nance

One of the most interesting rock musicians that showed up on the scene in the past few years is David Nance from Nebraska. Last year we heard his excellent album Staunch Honey and now he’s back as a part of the band called Astute Palate. Billy Childish is very active recently and we check out his new album with CTFM. Billy Childish is active but not as active as Daniel Romano, who is here again with yet another project called Spider Bites. Melvins have a new single and it’s a peculiar tribute to Beach Boys. We hear new music from Muck and The Mires and introduce Cleveland’s Red Devil Ryders, Advertisement from Seattle and Isolators from Buffalo.

Kevin AyersToday we say the last goodbyes to Kevin Ayers of Soft Machine and Tony Sheridan who sang with The Beatles back in their Hamburg days. The two rockers passed away recently. We also have some new stuff. We have new music for the Austinites Kelly Willis and her husband Bruce Robison and our good friend Kim Simpson. They all have new records out. Billy Childish has recently put out a record with his Spartan Drags, and that opens out new show. Donovan put out a record that he started making in 1970 with John Phillips and The Jazz Crusaders. Mikal Cronin has a new single out. We also have Freedy Johnston from his recent gig in Cleveland and one new name: Colleen Green from Oakland CA.

The Chatham SingersVery fresh show today at The Little Lighthouse! We have the new Billy Childish project The Chatham Singers which he founded together with his wife Julie. We also have new album for Neal Casal, Roots and Wings. Madeleine Peyroux, our favorite Billie Holiday sound-alike is also back with her third album so far Bare Bones. Detroit band Outrageous Cherry announced the new album with a fantastic mp3 single Get Out While You Can. Italian band Afterhours came up with a new album last year, but I just discovered it recently – so we check that out. The new LP is called I Milanesi Ammazzano Il Sabato. And we finish our new album list for this show with Black Lips’ 200 Million Thousand. Also, I played some songs by Cleveland Bill fox who I saw live last week and who blew me away with his talented performance.
