Another legend from around that time, Chris Mars, the drummer of The Replacements has a new album, so we check that out as well. ESC Life used to be a touring band for Grant Hart and now they have a new single. Ty Segall, Charles Mootheart and Chris Shaw from Ex Cult are back with their GØGGS. Desert Mountain Tribe are also back with the new album and so is Brian Lisik, but he is from Ohio. We introduce Grex from Oakland, California. Death of Samantha is in our live in Cleveland segment.

Jenny Don'tToday we have one new band with all female members. The Beverleys – three ladies from Toronto. Jenny Don’t ails from Portland and fronts her punk rock band Don’t. We also introduce the new band for Chris Shaw from Ex Cult, Ty Segall and Charles Moothart from Fuzz called Goggs. The man that made my favorite record last year, Andy Gabbard visited Cleveland and played some new tunes. My field recorder was ready. We also introduce Cowboys from Bloomington IN and a Toronto supergroup Highest Orders. One of the most pleasant surprises this week is Leland Sundries from New York and their new record called Music For Outcasts. Senior Service is an instrumental band from UK. Prkos Drumski covers Fairport Convention by the camp fire and we check it out.

Stoneage HeartsToday we introduce two bands inspired by the 60s punk: Freaks of Nature from Phoenix, AZ and The Last Killers from Cesena, Italy. Over in Australia, we have The Stoneage Hearts who covered Motor Away by Guided By Voices. Andrew Bryant is from Alabama, and also a new face here at The Little Lighthouse. Dave Heumann of Arboretum has a new solo record. Donnie Fritts returns with recordings of some of his old songs and Louise Goffin has a new record Songs From The Mine. Ex-Cult from Memphis visited Cleveland where we caught one of their new songs live at Now That’s Class.

Vlasta PopićToday we represent the new album for Cincinnati’s Buffalo Killers. We also have Ex Cult from Memphis with their last year’s album which fell through the cracks. Chris Brokaw teamed up with Chicago professor Geoff Farina on a new acoustic guitar album. New names today are Canadian actress and singer with a great voice Colleen Rennison. Old Testament come from LA and bring out some strong roots rock. But, some of the most interesting things this week come from the SE Europe. Umreti Fit come from Szeged, Hungary and sing in Serbo-Croatian. Vlasta Popić from Varazdin, Croatia, bring out some jumpy, energetic rock’n’roll, which reminds me on Boye, especially on their tune Ako nisam dobra.
