Nobody's Girl

Betty Soo, Rebecca Loebe, and Grace Pettis together form a new trio in Texas called Nobody’s Girl. We check them out today in our show. Texas also has another legendary trio, self proclaimed more a legend than a band, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Butch Hancock and Joe Ely reformed their Flatlanders. Van Morrison is also here. Lots of people came he’s gone nuts, but we still love him. Jim Lauderdale has a new album and we introduce Jonathan Wilson from LA, Bloodkin from Athens GA, Pilgrim from Tulsa OK and Martha Fields. Nina RomićNew music took us strange places this time. I recently came across a band from Barcelona, Spain, by the name of Belgrado, with a Polish singer that takes up the visual identity of Yugoslavian Zenitism movement and sounds like they are from Rijeka, cca 1983. Then, we also check out a Welsh band that named themselves after my old hometown, Vukovar. Back in that old part of the world, we also get new music from Nina Romić and Punčke. The rest of the show also brings the new albums from Calexico, as well as a new collaboration between Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore. We also introduce some new names for us. Big Eyes lead by Kate Eldridge come from New York City and the singer-songwriter Shawna Russel hails from Oklahoma.

Gun – (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party);
Big Eyes – Giving It Up For Good;
Calexico – Dead in the Water;
The Fleshtones – Back To School (Live in CLE);

Punčke – Valovi;

Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys – Turn The Page;
Ty Segall – Fanny Dog;
Mikal Cronin – Better Man;
