Loud and heavy rocking episode today with new music from J Mascis’ Heavy Blanket and San Francisco band Older Sun. Lydia Lunch is here with a cover of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs. We introduce two bands from Melbourne AU: Cable Ties and Civic. Also, new for us are Märvel from Sweden and Blue Heron from Albuquerque, NM. Towards the end of the show, we pay a tribute to Van Conner, bass player of Screaming Trees who passed away on January 17th this year. He was only 55.

Camp Cope Today we have a bunch of new bands. We start off with Detrot Groove Gang (who actually come from Croatia) and continue with Older Sun from San Francisco, CA. All the way from Melbourne, we have three ladies Camp Cope. Also from Australia, in Sydney, we check out Mark Moldre and Michael Carpenter who joined forces as Supahip. From Cleveland, Cross brothers have a new project called simply Cross Brothers. In Portland OR, we check out Tiger Touch and Space Merchants from Brooklyn named themselves after a 1952 SF novel. We also introduce the new music from The Connection over in Rochester NH. Sheer Mag are in our Live in CLE segment.
