Today we have a new project from Corin Tucker and Peter Buck together, called Filthy Friends. White Denim from Austin TX and Royal Trux from Washington DC are back with new singles. Richard Lloyd had a recent album which fell between the cracks, but we catch up. Sunwatchers who we know from a recent collaboration with Eugene Chadborune also have a new song out on their own. John Mayall teamed up with Todd Rundgren for a new song. Our friend from Australia, Jon S Williams has a solo acoustic record. We introduce Mary May from Croatia. Our friend Clara Engel is working on a new album and 
Today we have the new music from Alejandro Escovedo who found his new collaborators in Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey. Will Oldham is back together with Trembling Bells, of course using his moniker Bonnie Prince Billy. His friend from many projects, Angel Olsen is also back with some new tunes. In addition to that we introduce Italian singer-songwriter Giulia Millanta, who nowadays lives and creates in Arizona. We also introduce new music from Purling Hiss and Mannequin Pussy (both bands from Philadelphia) and Bob Reuter’s Alley Ghost from St. Louis. We also pay respect to the country music songwriter Curly Putnam who passed away at the age of 85 last week.
We bring you some cool new stuff. Daughter of Howe Gelb and Paula Jean Brown (of the original Giant Sand line up), has a great band called Patsy’s Rats. Impulsive Hearts from Chicago are also fronted by a lady: Danielle Sines. Miriam Linna of Norton Records has made another new album this year Down Today. We also introduce Green Hornet from Netherlands and Sloming Moops from Zagreb, Croatia. Also from there, Thee Melomen have a new single. Peter Buck of REM is back with a nice solo record. An interesting tribute came out recently in Tucson AZ for Rainer Ptacek.
Today we feature three new artists that publish for V’68. They sent us a nice package and we for today we picked three artists that are have ties both to Europe and to Tucson AZ. Marianne Dissard and Naim Amor moved from France over to Tucson to live and create music. Still, they often sing in their mother tongue. The third is Susie Hug, who we introduced in 
The Baseball Project is a new “supergroup”, put together by Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate), Peter Buck (REM), Scott McCaughey (Minus 5) and Linda Pitmon (Zuzu’s Petals). They recorded a new album Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails completely dedicated to baseball. I know absolutely nothing about baseball, but I know a few things about rock’n’roll and this album definitely rocks. We check it out in this new edition of the Little Lighthouse. Also, Alejandro Escovedo is back with the second album after the horrible disease that nearly crushed him. This time, it seems, he is stronger than ever. His new album Real Animal is also a concept record, completely about his rock’n’roll experience – both as a fan of music and as an active participant. Filled with numerous musical and lyrical references and quotes, this record is a truly unique and heartfelt to the rock’n’roll lifestyle.
