Today we start off with a brand new tune from Cheap Wine’s new studio, directly from Pesaro, Italy. Motörhead and Replacements have post-breakup releases, and we check it out today. Pink Tiles from Australia have a really good new album, that showcases their great new leap in artistic maturity. Hidden Rifles are a new band for Matthew Wascovich, Mike Watt and Norman Westberg. We introduce Transit Method from Austin TX and three ladies from New York City, Baby Shakes.
Today we introduce several interesting relatively new names on the female songwriting scene. Katie Von Schleicher comes from Brooklyn and Esmé Patterson is from Denver, CO. Nicole Atkins from New Jersey is particularly interesting because she teamed up with Tommy Stinson of The Replacements and Bash & Pop for her upcoming new album. Tommy is also out touring with Chip Roberts as The Cowboys In The Campfire. They stopped by at Cleveland’s Blue Arrow Records and played a few new tunes. We hear one of them today. Talking about Cleveland, Matthew Wascowich is back with his Scarcity of Tanks. They have a new album called Garford Mute, inspired by growing up, and it contains a stellar line up of Pere Ubu and Terminal Lovers bands, plus Doug Gillard and the legendary Steve Mackay, the Stooges sax player with his posthumous appearance. We also check out the new music Left Lane Cruiser and and introduce two new heavy bands, ’68 from Atlanta and Gorilla from UK.
Crowdfunding is a cool new way to help musicians make their albums ahead of time, get some special releases in return and maybe even influence the content in some ways. I mean, without your help, the stuff wouldn’t even be out. Today we introduce two artist that took the road of crowdfunding. Clara Engel is from Toronto and she’s a singer songwriter. She previously published in UK and Italy, but not in North America. She started a website on 
Today we start off with the new album for the Memphis area rockers Lucero. Then we introduce a new singer songwriter from Nova Scotia, Mike O’Neill who showcases his talent on the new album called Wild Lines. Another new name in the show is also Alabama Shakes, a band from Northern Alabama that combines soul, southern rock and punk rock into an interesting mixture of genres. Terry Malts comes from California and he is also new in our lineup. Cheyenne Marie Mize is a singer songwriter from Louisville KY with an interesting debut ep We Don’t Need, although I think I do need it. And in the end, Scarcity of Tanks return with three(!!) new albums Vulgar Defender, Fear is Not Conscience, Sensational Grade. In our live in Cleveland series, we have Eilen Jewell and her awesome interpretation of Shakin’ All Over.
Folks, here it is, second show for this season! We continue filling out gaps that happened while we were gone over the summer. One of the most pleasant surprises that happened recently is the return of Dan Stuart of Green on Red with his new band The Slummers. He, producer JD Foster and two Italian musicians created this new band and a ultra fun record called Love Of The Amateur. Australian band smrTs that we know from their demos last year are finally out with the first official CD. They call it Sun Sets On A New Tomorrow and it’s full of catchy instrumentals. Satin Gum from Pittsburgh are once again here with another extremely catchy EP which is once again self-titled. Clevelanders The New Lou Reeds have an LP out called Hit Songs. Another Cleveland band Scarcity of Tanks is back with another disc, which they call Bleed Now. And, we also have two débutantes, both from Canada, Strange Attractor and Red Mass and they share a cool split-EP. But the whole show starts with Dax Riggs who has a new album out called Say Goodnight To The World.
Today we have the most recent (and not so new) album by Electric Six and Jimi Hendrix “unreleased” compilation Valleys of Neptune. Cleveland band Easter Monkeys have recently published a compilation record entitled Splendor Of Sorrow Plus. And that song sets off a strange review of Cleveland underground from 80s till today: Resolvers and Scarcity of Tanks are at the Lighthouse for the first time. Check us out!
