Missed Cleveland

Today we check out the new music from The Americans, a band that we loved back in 2017 when they had a fantastic debut record out. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are also back with another new album. The Missed from Cleveland have plans to put out their first full length album as well. We introduce new artists and bands from Boston (Dirty Truckers and Abbie Barrett), Melbourne (Hazmats), LA (Momma). Finally, we play a track by Best Bets from New Zealand, who have a phenomenal new album On An Unhistoric Night.

Today we start off with a pair of androgynous new rockers: Ezra Furman is known to us from before, there’s a new album out. Gyasi from Nashville TN is new. Italian glam rockers Faz Waltz are also walking the wild side. Kelley Stoltz over in San Francisco has a new record and so do the Ugly Beats from Austin. Over in Spain, we check out Capsula. Actress Emmanuelle Seigner has a band called L’épée with Lionel and Marie Liminana and Anton Newcombe. Hop Along come from Philadelphia, not a new album but it fell through the cracks and we catch it today. Missed are in our live in Cleveland segment.

Macarena Rivera - PharleeAnother one of our heavier editions. We open up with Hot Lunch, a new band for us that commutes between San Francisco and Oakland, CA. Then we have Thee Lexington Arrows fronted by Kathleen Wilson over in Baltimore, doing a fantastic version of Gimme Shelter. Then we check out another refreshing cover, Cherry Red originally performed by Groundhogs, but this time from the new live Ty Segall album. Another killer cover in today’s show is Don Nix original in a fresh new version from Pharlee over in San Diego, CA. And the fourth cool cover is Will Anything Happen a Blondie classic this time performed by the Cleveland band Missed, fronted by Mickey Marie. We also check out their new single. And then all the way in Slovenia, we have a band with a similar name, Mist. We close with tracks from the new albums by Sad Planets and Murlocs.
