Part-Time LoverToday we start off by checking out the new music for two legends: first Robyn Hitchcock and a song from his untitled new record and a new single from Mark Lanegan and his band. Also, two of the Kinks brothers are here with new records. Ray Davies joined forces with The Jayhawks and Dave Davies has a record with his son Ross. We introduce The Wooden Sky from Toronto in Canada and two new bands from Cleveland. First four ladies in Goldmines, among which Roseanna Safos and Mandy Look also joined forces with Jason Look in another Cleveland band Part-Time Lover. We also hear a tune from Part-Time Lover performed live at The Blue Arrow Records on the Record Store Day. Speaking of the Record Store Day, an interesting seven inch showed up with Mike Watt collaborating with three bands from The Balkans. We also check out the music from Rickie Lee Jones and Madeleine Peyroux, who are collaboration on a new tour together. The New Pornographers have a new record and so does the singer of The Ettes, Coco Hames. Guided By Voices recorded a new, lengthy double album too. But a special treat today is a block in which we check out separate projects of each new member of Ty Segall’s band. Charles Mootheart has a new CFM album and so does Emmet Kelly with his Cairo Gang. Todd RundgrenToday we start of with some bands that used to be big in the 80s: Jesus and Mary Chain and Depeche Mode. Dave Gahan seems to be inspired a lot by the sounds he created with the Soulsavers a few years ago. Todd Rundgren is also back and his new single is a collaboration with Swedish dance artists Robyn. Automatic City from France sent us their new cover of Chuck Berry’s Havana Moon. We introduce two new bands from England, Mulholland from York and Mark and The Clouds from London. Zagreb’s Trobecove Krusne Peci are back with a live album recorded at the Club Kocka. Speaking of live albums and clubs, there’s a new various artists deal called Start Your Own Fucking Show Space, which pays a tribute to a club in Brooklyn called Death by Audio. Also, live in Cleveland, Kevin Gordon plays his new tune.
