First ‘regular’ show this year! We present the hottest in garage rock from recent weeks. The most exciting novelty is West Coat collaboration between Mike Watt and Cutthroat Brothers. They have released two new records recently. Another supergroup is Teeth of England from Memphis with Dave Sinclair behind the concept, Jack Oblivian behind the drums and Jason Rice from Faux Killas playing guitar. Strange Colours also has a new record and it’s a Toronto band lead by Andrew Moszynski who used to be with Deadly Snakes. Over in Australia we hear Power Supply from Melbourne. Over in Europe we check out Komodor from France and Roman Aul and Rosarys from Germany, who did a new record collaborating with the legendary Detroit producer Jim Diamond. From Switzerland, we check out the new tune by The Jackets. We finish the show with a little tribute to Bill Conway who used to play drums in Treat Her Right and Morphine. Conway passed away on December 19 last year.

Larry RamosToday’s show is dedicated to Larry Ramos, the singer who was a part of The Association, starting with their third album Insight Out. He passed away last week. We remember him with two tunes, but we also celebrate some new music as well. We introduce The Record Company, a band from Los Angeles. On the other band, in Brooklyn NYC we have a new really fun band called Screamin’ Rebel Angels. Greg Oblivian’s Reigning Sound have a new single. Los Puchos is a new name from Phoenix AZ. They put their music out exclusively on cassette tapes. Tame Impala have a new live LP. We also check out two recent LPs by Brimstone Howl. They were a great band from Omaha who broke up some 7 years ago, but before they split, they recorded two albums. One back home in Omaha and the other one in Detroit with Jim Diamond. Those albums were shelved and waited until recently only to show up in limited edition vinyl. John Ziegler, vocalist from that band also has a new band called The Lupines.

Donald Duck DunnToday we say goodbye to one of the truly greatest bass players in rock’n’roll, legendary Donald Duck Dunn of the Booker T And The MG’s. He passed away on May 13, 2012 in his sleep after a gig with his old band mate Steve Cropper. We also have a new band in the show called Catl from Toronto. Jim Diamond produced their brand new album called Soon This Will All Be Gone. Gabriel Fulvimar hails from Cleveland. He has an interesting band called Gap Dream and we check that out today. The dB’s are back together with a full original line-up and we check out a new tune from the new lp called Falling Off the Sky. Guided By Voices have yet another new lp as well.
