Today we introduce the new singles from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and The Forty Nineteens. Julian Cope has a new album too. The Third Mind is a new supergroup with Dave Alvin of Blasters, Michael Jerome of Toadies and Victor Krummenacher and David Immerglück of Camper Van Beethoven. They have a new album of new covers of some classic psychedelic tunes. Similar concept, but with less known participants has been released in Chicago by Plastic Crimewave Syndicate. We also introduce a new artist for us, a singer songwriter from France, Theo Charaf. Today we also have two tributes, one to David Roback, legendary leader of Mazzy Star, Opal, Rainy Day and The Rain Parade who passed away recently. Another tribute is to Zoran Modli, legendary Yugoslav radio DJ who vigorously promoted unsigned bands throughout the 80s.

Neo Psychedelic Scene

The past decade has seen the revival of psychedelic music scene. Two main representatives are King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard and Thee Oh Sees. These bands, and many other bands, fill arenas around the world. The new music has so little chord changes, that it might just be all one chord for an entire hour today. King Gizzard...Today we have the new album from King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, who continue with their hyperproduction. Other new music this week are the new introductions. We have Jesus Sons from LA and Angelica Rockne, also from California. We also introduce Bohannons from Chattanooga, TN and The Woolly Bushmen from Orlando, FL. Also from Chicago, we have Plastic Crimewave Syndicate. Over in Europe, we have a one man band Tongue Tied Twin from Switzerland. Prljave Sestre from Serbia play an enthusiastic cover of Dr. Feelgood. We also pay a tribute to Tommy Keene and Pat DiNizio who both passed away recently.
