The Shivas

LA band Flat Worms opens today with a song from their new album. The Shivas from Portland OR follow up with their own new song. Indian Goat has a new record and so does Bubblegum Lemonade from Scotland. Barrence Whitfield got together a new band as a rock’n’roll tribute to Sun Ra. New Madness from Berlin Germany is the new name. Over in whatever is left of Yugoslavia, we have Punčke from Vinkovci and KBO! from Kragujevac with new singles. Australian singer-songwriters Liz Stringer,  Jen Cloher and Mia Dyson formed a new trio simply calling it Dyson Stringer Cloher. Beyondeers are live in Cleveland.

Death Valley GirlsDavid Nance who made a big splash with a series of very interesting Internet projects and a masterpiece album entitled Do The Negative Boogie is back with the new record which he calls Peaced and Slightly Pulverized. Handsome Jack, over in Buffalo NY is also back with the new album and so is Bim Thomas with Obnox. Electric Six have a new record and so do Death Valley Girls. Matthew Houck leads Phosphorescent to the new release as well. We also introduce the one-man band for Justin Sullivan of Flat Worms, which he calls Night Shop.

Excellent blues duet from Boston, Mr. Airplane Man are back with a new single after a long hiatus. Another female blues duet, Larkin Poe is back with a new record. We introduce Dead Heavens from New York, Bonnevilles from Northern Ireland and Flat Worms from Los Angeles. The Yawpers are live in Cleveland.
