Nice round episode number today. But instead of an exaggerated jubilation, we go with another fun episode. W.H. Michael opens it with a Bill Fox cover. Then we introduce The Speedways from London UK. Bad Moves have a new album and ANC4 over in Sweden, a new single. Doug Tuttle and Flesh Panthers are back with new songs. Mings in Netherlands are a new band for us and so is Nemi Pesnik, from Novi Sad, Serbia.

Maggot Heart

Today we start with the new singles Maggot Heart (Sweden) and Bad Moves (Washington DC). Then we have Guardian Singles from New Zealand with their new music and also on that side of the world, Rob Griffiths from Melbourne has a new solo album. He is usually with Little Murders. On this side of the world, Daniel Romano in Canada has several new releases and we sample them in this episode. Over in Europe, we hear a solo project of Alberto Piccolo (also in Messa). The band is called Little Albert. In UK, we hear new music from Document and Hightown Pirates. This episode of the show is dedicated to Richard Lane from The Stems, who passed away on May 12th this year.

We start today with two albums full of good pop tunes (each in its own way) from the last year’s production, that somehow fell through the cracks. We know both performers well, Lisa Mychols from the early episodes of The Little Lighthouse and Bad Moves from the more recent episodes. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have a new single, The Schramms are back together with the new record. Those Pretty Wrongs have a new single out, and so does Sheer Mag. Over in Yugolands, we check out Autopark with a cover of a legendary Boye song. Replacements are preparing a new repackaging of Don’t Tell A Soul and we check out one of the tunes from it.

Sue FoleyJust as we introduced the new John Paul Keith’s new single, his new album with The Motel Mirrors also came out. It also features Amy LaVere and Will Sexton in the line up. The rest of the new music today are all new introductions. First we have two new bands form Los Angeles: Dommengang and L.A. Witch. Clevelander and a hopeful in the comedy business Dave Hill teamed up with Chris Reifert from Autopsy and Death in a new band called Painted Doll. We also have Bad Moves. They come from Washington DC. Australian Rebecca Louise Chilcott goes by the name of Ruby Boots and another singer songwriter, Sue Foley comes from Canada. They both have new interesting albums. Rench is a guy from Brooklyn who mixes country with hip hop beats in his band Gangstagrass, but this time we check out his new solo record.
