Today we have a bunch of new bands. We start off with Detrot Groove Gang (who actually come from Croatia) and continue with Older Sun from San Francisco, CA. All the way from Melbourne, we have three ladies Camp Cope. Also from Australia, in Sydney, we check out Mark Moldre and Michael Carpenter who joined forces as Supahip. From Cleveland, Cross brothers have a new project called simply Cross Brothers. In Portland OR, we check out Tiger Touch and Space Merchants from Brooklyn named themselves after a 1952 SF novel. We also introduce the new music from The Connection over in Rochester NH. Sheer Mag are in our Live in CLE segment.

We start of today with and awesome hit single Discotheque by the new band here at the Little Lighthouse called The Cry! from Portland OR. It’s a part of a split single with The Connection who we know well by now. Then we check out The Len Price 3, who finally put out a follow up on their great LP called Pictures back in 2010. The new record is called Nobody Knows and they come from traditionally active Medway scene in England. Arbouretum from Baltimore, MD are back with the new ep, which entirely consists of the Gordon Lightfoot tunes and it represents the peak of the renewed interest about him on the modern scene. Ty Segall is putting out records so frequently, I can’t even count them anymore. But the new one is with his new band called Fuzz and it’s a heavy record done in the manner of the 70s hard rock, where he joined forces with the guitarist Charlie Moothart. Finally we have Dead Milkmen today. They put out four 7″ singles, totaling 12 new songs (almost like an LP!) recently. We check out one of the tunes which they performed together with Philadelphia singer Audrey Crash and we also check out a part of their recent show in Cleveland. They were supposed to play at the Cleveland Public Theater, but the power went down. So they took the show over to WCSB.
Today we continue discontinuity with Chris Cacavas. He had an album in 2009, 
This show is dominated by several new names today. First, we have the Connection – a power pop band from Portsmouth, NH. They are joined by Wyatt Funderbunk as a guest, who we also have for the first time. Then we have the Black Oil Brothers, an interesting unpretentious mixture of traditional blues and other types of art. For instance, on their site you can download a nice story of a struggling painter. Another new name are the Australian band The Murlocks. We also have some good old friends here with new music. Singing Loins are about to put out the new record called Here on Earth and David Eugene Edwards is back with another Woven Hand release. Nick Cave invited Mark Lanegan to sing on the soundtrack for the movie that he wrote Lawless.
