Supergroup Sweet Apple is also back with the new rocking record (with members from Cobra Verde, Witch and Dinosaur JR). Kostić Kosta, legendary journalist from Belgrade who influenced me a lot. He passed away this week at a young age of 55.

Today we hear the new music from Co-Pilgrim and introduce two other bands from UK that are heavily inspired by the Paisley Underground scene in the 80s California. Co-Pilgrim, Dreaming Spires and Hanging Stars are so inspired by that sound that they even call their own movement Paisley Overground. Other stuff today are catchy new power pop tunes courtesy of Gorilla*, The Stevens, Sheer Mag, Needles//Pins and The Americans. We also introduce the new Royal Headache tune from their live in Cleveland show.
Today we have a brand new epic double album by Melvins, apparently the last album for Matthew Melton’s Warm Soda, new one for Miranda Lee Richards. We introduce Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Feral Ohms and School Damage. Daniel Romano and his Ancient Shapes are live in Cleveland. We pay a very special respect to the late Belgrade composer Milivoje Mića Marković, a man who had a tremendous impact on the Yugoslav music scene with his jazz fusion, soundtracks and journalism.

We also hear a bunch of new introductions. Ruby Force is a supergroup from LA and Zebra Hut is from Spain. We have two new bands from Sweden, Black River Delta and Josefin Öhrn with her Liberation. Elder come from Boston and The Black Watch is a one man band John Andrew Frederick, novelist painter and a professor of English from Richmond VA. Ian Svenonius, from The Make-Up has a new band called Chain And The Gang. Cheap Trick have a new record and so does Shannon McNally. The latter one is produced by Rodney Crowell. We also introduce The John from Macedonia and a new band called Arcadea crated by the Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor.
Today we introduce singer songwriter from Tulsa, Lauren Barth and a Swedish hard rock band Ball. Angaleena Presley from Pistol Annies has a second solo album out, and we check that out too. Dickinson brothers. North Mississippi Allstars have a new record out called Prayer for Peace. Zerodent from Perth Australia are back with the new EP. We continue with the new singer from Nashville, Chely Wright with a mighty cover of a Bob Dylan song Tomorrow Is A Long Time. Also from Nashville, we chack out the new song from Last Daze, fronted by Katy Cole. From Canada, we check out Suzanne Elizabeth Ungerleider who goes under the moniker Oh Susanna. The we introduce the guitar player from Minneapolis Ben Glaros who landed his skills to the Pirner brothers Dave and Paul on a Slim Dunlap tribute band The Happy Roosters and Fathom Lane with Michael Ferrier. My friend Stanjin Strbac has a new column and he writes about Rhiannon Giddens and Son Volt. Inspired by his writings, we check out these two in today’s show. Emma Ruth Rundle and Amber Arcades close the show today. Amber Arcades is actually Annelotte de Graaf, a Dutch singer-songwriter from Utrecht.
Pretty much all new bands in the show today. We introduce Ancient Shapes from Canada, Big Hogg from Glashow, Scotland, Selwyn Birchwood from Florida and Telestons from Greece. Eyelids are kind of a supergroup from Portland with members from Guided By Voices, Decembrists and some other less known bands. Famed E-Streeter who is keeping garage rock alive in his radio show, Little Steven is back with a solo record and Chuck Berry songs which were recorded in the past decade are finally coming out posthumously.
