Focus of today’s show is the new XTC tribute album Garden of Earthly Delights, out now on Futureman Records. We check out contributions by Chris Church and King Radio. Another interesting tribute is the one for John Wicks. Carla Olson contributes. Today we introduce the new singles from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and The Forty Nineteens. Julian Cope has a new album too. The Third Mind is a new supergroup with Dave Alvin of Blasters, Michael Jerome of Toadies and Victor Krummenacher and David Immerglück of Camper Van Beethoven. They have a new album of new covers of some classic psychedelic tunes. Similar concept, but with less known participants has been released in Chicago by Plastic Crimewave Syndicate. We also introduce a new artist for us, a singer songwriter from France, Theo Charaf. Today we also have two tributes, one to David Roback, legendary leader of Mazzy Star, Opal, Rainy Day and The Rain Parade who passed away recently. Another tribute is to Zoran Modli, legendary Yugoslav radio DJ who vigorously promoted unsigned bands throughout the 80s.

Ahead of the upcoming International Women’s Day on Sunday, we dedicate this entire show to more or less recent female performers. We begin with the new country record for Aubrie Sellers who pleasantly surprised us with strong songs and loud guitars, breathing new life into a genre we thought was over. Habibi over in Brooklyn, but originally heading from Detroit are an all female line up fronted by Lenaya Lynch and Rahill Jamalifard. Also in Detroit, Detroit Cobras are back with a recent new single. On the singer-songwriting scene, we have brand new singles for Nicole Atkins, Becca Stevens, Ada Lea and Gemma Ray. The Exbats is a father and daughter duet, lead by the young Inez McClain.
