Shannon McNallyToday we start with the new project for the Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson called The Magpie Salute. Then we check out the new solo single from the hard working New Zealander Dion Lunadon. Elder come from Boston and The Black Watch is a one man band John Andrew Frederick, novelist painter and a professor of English from Richmond VA. Ian Svenonius, from The Make-Up has a new band called Chain And The Gang. Cheap Trick have a new record and so does Shannon McNally. The latter one is produced by Rodney Crowell. We also introduce The John from Macedonia and a new band called Arcadea crated by the Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor.

Then we check out Sweet Apple covering April Wine, just as they are preparing the new album Sing The Night in Sorrow, which is due this Summer (but you know how those things always get delayed…). NE-HI are a new band from Chicago and Samantha Fish is hailing from Kansas City with her cigar box guitar. Arbouretum are back with the new record and so is Rodney Crowell. Emmett Kelly of The Cairo Gang is back with the new record, as a result of collaboration with Ty Segall. Jaye Jayle is a new name for us from Louisville, KY!

Robert PollardRobert Pollard is as active as ever. We introduced his new band Ricked Wicky just recently, and now he also has a new solo record. We also introduce Home Blitz from Princeton NJ, which reminds me on Game Theory. Faux Ferocious come from Nashville and we check out their studio and live recordings from their show in Cleveland. Thee Oh Sees are back with the new LP called Mutilator Defeated At Last. Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris have a new album together. They first worked together 40 round years ago, so it’s a nice anniversary. Fauntleroys is a supergroup consisting of Alejandro Escovedo, Ivan Julian (ex Voidods) and Linda Pitmon (ex Zsu Zsu’s Petals and Miracle 3). We finish with a tribute to Bobby Irwin, drummer in Nick Lowe’s band who passed away recently.
