Engel is also back, but with a new name (used to be Clara Engel). We introduce Sleeveens with roots in Ireland, Fast Eddy from Denver CO, The Other Hit from Minneapolis, Reitxel O. from Spain. Gaby Moreno is a really well established name in the world of pop music, but here she is for the first time at the Little Lighthouse too!

Today we have an international parade of great new tunes. We start our trip in Spain with Capsula and their new single. The next stop is Gabbie Torres and BBQT in Baltimore. Then we go to UK and check out the latest collaboration between Mordecai Smyth and Icarus Peel. Tony Molina and Sarah Rose Janko join forces as The Lost Days. Courettes over in Denmark take a Johnny Thunder’s vocal track and breathe a new life into it. In Australia, we check out Sticker Club, the new project for a long time Evan Dando collaborator Nic Dalton. Another Australian name in today’s show is Ramalamas. New York’s Braden Bodensteiner is introduced for the first time at the Little Lighthouse and so is Zac from Rome, Italy. And finally, we end up in Toronto Canada and close the show with a new tune from Clara Engel.

Jillian Raye of 3rd Secret

Today we start off with the 80s garage and college circuit legends Fuzztones who have a new album. Then we check out 3rd Secret, which is really a collaboration between Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic and Jillian Raye who already collaborated on two albums as Giants In The Trees. From London, we check out Japanese Television and from Japan we check out Dhidalah. Satellites is a very interesting concept from Israel that pays a homage to the great Anatolian rock music from the 70s. Helicon from Glasgow are back with the new EP and we also check out a new track from Clara Engel over in Toronto.

Today we experiment with sounds a little bit. Non-conventional genres and artists are on the playlist. We first start with a new project for John Dwyer, Nick Murray, Brad Caulkins, Tom Dolas and Greg Coates, which is perhaps called Witch Egg. Kid Congo and The Pink Monkey Birds follow with a 15 minute dance dreamlike song. Sun Kil Moon is also here with another lengthy new piece. Emma Ruth Rundle teams up with metal heads Thou. Marianne Dissard has an unconventional cover of Ritchie Valens’ Come on Let’s Go. Clara Engel has a new album, and it’s always a surprise and a new, interesting sonic exploration. At the end of the show we pay tributes to Sylvain Sylvain, Phil Spector and Tom Stevens from Long Ryders.

Zerodent from Perth Australia are preparing their first European tour and they put together a new EP specifically to promote their work at the tour. Then back to Australia, Datura4 has a new album as well and features Dom Mariani of The Stems and Greg Hitchcock of You Am I. Clara Engel has a new record out and you can pick it up at bandcamp. On Burger Records, we present the new singles from The Dates and Those Pretty Wrongs. Today’s show is dedicated to Manja from Disciplin A Kitchme who passed away last week. Emma DeCorsey of I Am The Polish ArmyToday we have a brand new track from The Flesh Eaters, who reformed in their most notorious line up, featuring Chris D, Steve Berlin, DJ Bonebrake, John Doe, Bill Bateman and Dave Alvin. And it’s a cover of a lesser known Sonics tune! We also have the new tune from Emma DeCorsey of I Am The Polish Army from her new cassette Dream. Clara Engel from Toronto in Canada also has a new album A Shore Far From Any Prison. Clara will be playing live in Cleveland on December 7th at Euclid Tavern and on December 8th at The Whiskey Bar. Emma will be playing at Blue Arrow Records on November 10th at 3pm. Both of them are coming to Cleveland through a booking production of The Little Lighthouse. So that’s something new I’m doing and it would be appreciated if you all come and support the effort. Talking about Blue Arrow Records, new Jonathan Richman record is coming out today on that label and it’s called Sa. It features Jerry Harrison on keyboards, among others. We also introduce Maiorano from Berlin Germany, Michael Head from Liverpool, England and an older record that came on Ill In The Head Records by a Croatian band Gipps. On Numero, there is also a nice reissue compilation entitled Basement Beehive: The Girl Group Underground. We check it all out today.
