Today we have the new music from Mark Lanegan. His band just published the newest single. Zerodent from Perth Australia are preparing their first European tour and they put together a new EP specifically to promote their work at the tour. Also in Europe, from France, Automatic City hails with their brand new album. Then back to Australia, Datura4 has a new album as well and features Dom Mariani of The Stems and Greg Hitchcock of You Am I. Clara Engel has a new record out and you can pick it up at bandcamp. DuÅ¡an Äukić who played goÄ in Disciplina KiÄme in the late eighties passed away also, about a year ago. We pay tribute to both of them.

Today we start off by checking out the new music for two legends: first Robyn Hitchcock and a song from his untitled new record and a new single from Mark Lanegan and his band. Also, two of the Kinks brothers are here with new records. Ray Davies joined forces with The Jayhawks and Dave Davies has a record with his son Ross. We introduce The Wooden Sky from Toronto in Canada and two new bands from Cleveland. First four ladies in Goldmines, among which Roseanna Safos and Mandy Look also joined forces with Jason Look in another Cleveland band Part-Time Lover. We also hear a tune from Part-Time Lover performed live at The Blue Arrow Records on the Record Store Day. Speaking of the Record Store Day, an interesting seven inch showed up with Mike Watt collaborating with three bands from The Balkans. Today we check out what Koja and Disciplin A Kitchme did to a Minutemen song!
It’s a jammy show today. We have entirely improvized band called Soldiers of Fortune, consisting of many established musicians from New York (Oneida, Chavez, Interpol). Jesper Eklow from Endless Boogie seems to play a very important role forming the sound on the new Soldiers of Fortune record Early Risers. Next, we have the legendary (ex) Yugoslav band Disciplin A Kitchme, who are back with yet another great sounding record entitled Opet.. Ethan Johns is also back with the new album and we introduce a new name: Greek band 7-Odds. Dom Mariani’s DM3 has a nice new compilation record.
In today’s episode, we have some news from my ol’ hometurf. We found out some info about the new harmonica player in Disciplin A Kitchme. His name is Igor, he lives in Vinkovci and has his own one man band called Harp Explosion. Check out his new spectacular album on
Today we start off with The Strungs and their new album called Nothing is Possible and we interleave two of their tunes with the twenty year old records from Guided By Voices. Then we check out some new tunes from Hollis Brown and Jimbo Mathus. Denney and The Jets is the new band in our show from Nashville TN and John Murry is here for the first time as well. After Graceless Age, his acclaimed LP from two years ago, Murry has a new EP featuring Chuck Prophet (ex Green On Red). Disciplin A Kitchme is also back with another great new digital single.
Today we have have nice balance between very young and older bands. From the old guard, we have The Fleshtones with their new album Leave of Talent. Koja and Disciplin A Kitchme are back with a brand new single and a new line up that includes a harmonica. Legendary punk band from San Pedro The Last are also back with their new full length album Danger which has been announced several times in the past seven years and now it’s finally out. It contains some of the older tunes that were planned for their unreleased album Look Again in 1980. In our last show we had John Petkovic with Sweet Apple and Dave Swanson with a live recording with his Rainy Day Saints. Both of them used to be in Death of Samantha. That band (without Swanson, but with the original bass player David James), reunited for several shows in the past two years and now they put out a double lp with entitled If Memory Serves Us Well which is a recording of their band practice before hitting the concert halls. New bands today are Cretin Stompers from Memphis (via Brooklyn) and Caseworker, lead by a nice couple Eimer and Conor Devlin, kind of a mellow California band like Mellow Drunk or American Music Club. Speaking of them, we have two news: Mark Eitzel recorded an album in Ray Davies’ Konk Studios in North London and their original producer, drummer and guitar player Tom Mallon passed away. We pay a special tribute to him today. And finally, we have two very young bands from the Cincinnati/Covington/Newport area – The Yugos and The Debauchees. Dan Stuart from Green on Red gave them some really generous compliments – so we check them out.
