Today we star of with Dany Laj and The Looks from Canada (Montreal and Toronto) and their new album Word On The Street. We continue with a 90s punks from California, an all-female line up, Red Aunts who recently have a nice double LP compilation album Come Up For A Close Look. Xaxaxa from Skopje, Macedonia, are lead by Vasko Atanososki who we also know from Bernay’s Propaganda. The Splits are three girls and one guy from Finland. Howe Gelb and his Giant Sand are back with one of their best albums in a rich career entitled Heartbreak Pass. They are now an international collective, more than a band – with 11 musicians (and one baby) on the record cover. Jackie DeShannon’s music from 1973 that was meant to be her second album for Atlantic record recently came out on a disc entitled All The Love – The lost Atlantic Recordings. It was recorded with Tom Dowd as a producer, but never came out in an integral version until now. We also have a new young band from Cleveland Daylight is the Dream and finish things off today with Movie Star Junkies – from Italy.

Today we say goodbye to BB King, a blues giant who passed away this week. But we also have some time for new names. We check out Cool Ghouls from San Francisco and Dirty Fences from New York City. We also check out the new record for Graham Parker and The Rumour.
Robert Pollard is as active as ever. We introduced his new band Ricked Wicky just recently, and now he also has a new solo record. We also introduce Home Blitz from Princeton NJ, which reminds me on Game Theory. Faux Ferocious come from Nashville and we check out their studio and live recordings from their show in Cleveland. Thee Oh Sees are back with the new LP called Mutilator Defeated At Last. Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris have a new album together. They first worked together 40 round years ago, so it’s a nice anniversary. Fauntleroys is a supergroup consisting of Alejandro Escovedo, Ivan Julian (ex Voidods) and Linda Pitmon (ex Zsu Zsu’s Petals and Miracle 3). We finish with a tribute to Bobby Irwin, drummer in Nick Lowe’s band who passed away recently.
We start off today with a tribute to Husker Du. Two Canadian bands, Red Arms and Wasted Potential put their resources together and made a coll tribute to Husker Du. The whole thing is on their
