Dave Gahan teamed up with Rich Machin and Ian Glover of Soulsavers for a new exciting record of covers. Julie Doiron from Montreal has a new album. Gabriella Cohen, Doug Tuttle and Camp Cope have new singles. Action City is Michael Slawter and Shawn Lynch and they hail from North Carolina.

Amazing music from wonderful new female singers and songwriters today. We open up with new tune from Beth Bombara over in St. Louis. Next, Lilly Hiatt has a new album called Lately. We introduce a wonderful new trio, Chapel Hart with roots in Southern Mississippi and New Orleans. Sierra Ferrel from Charleston is a new name and so is Nellen Dryden is from Nashville. Speaking of Nashville, Yola’s new album is an active item on our playlist and a deeper look into it reveals three songwriters that she collaborated with her on the record. Ruby Amanfu, Liz Rose and Natalie Hemby, who also has a new album. Coming Up Roses come from Singapore but fit perfectly in this otherwise heavy American playlist.

In France, we check out Warmbabies. On the power pop side of things, Nick Frater is back with a new record. On the edgier side of things, Poison Boys from Chicago who have a new album. Also in Chicago we check out a cool Prince cover from Local H. We pay respect to fallen heroes. Don Everly of The Everly Brothers passed away on August 22 this year. Also, Yu Grupa loses their third drummer within a year. Raša Djelmaš passed away on October 28th this year.

Today, music from Yugoslavia or whatever was left from it. No special reason other than some interesting new tunes from over there and recent obituaries. From Macedonia, we check out 21 Vek, their new single. Rebel Star operates in Serbia and Hungary and now collaborates with Zagreb’s Zvonka Obajdin. Also in Zagreb, Croatia, Nina Romi? is back with the new single. Koikoi is a new name for us, a four piece from Belgrade Serbia. Then we zig zag back to Zagreb and check out Confidential & The Secret Four. Then we end up all the way North in Slovenia and introduce Matthias von Stumberger und seine Jugend. We pay tributes to fallen Yugo rock representatives, Marina Tucakovi? who was a lyricist for many popular songs, singer songwriter and TV presenter Minja Subota.
