Palmyra Delran

We start today with new music from Palmyra Delran and continue with new stuff from Chris Church. Continuing the theme of nice songwriting, we check out the new tune from Andy Gabbard. Then we check out music from another Andy, Andy Lewis who we know from his recent collaborations with Judy Dyble. Fernando Perdomo continues his weekly new releases with another new album. Armories is a new name for us, they participate on the recent tribute to 20 20. Than we go to the remains of Yugoslavia and we hear the new Steve Wynn cover from Zvonka Obajdin and Svemir . Also, we hear a brand new tune from Dino Santaleza and Pridjevi. Staying on the same ground, but covering different times, we pay a tribute to Branko Marušić Čutura and Đorđe Balašević, both of them passed away within a day from each other recently.

We have plenty of new surprised from the Yugo rock scene this time. We start off with Svemir from Zagreb, lead by Zvonka Obajdin. Then we go to Serbia and we check out the new collaboration between Eva Braun and Elektricni Orgazam. Also, from that scene, the old 80s attraction called S.T.R.A.H. is back with the new single. On the US scene, we check out the new stuff from The Dream Syndicate and Guided By Voices. We introduce a guitar slinger from Philadelphia Chris Forsyth.

Broadway ZydecoToday we start off with the new song from a brand new album of the band that we really love here, Faux Killas. We also introduce Hidden Rifles, the new project lead by Matthew Wascovich and also features Norman Westberg (of Swans) and Mike Watt. Chinese Herbal Medicine is also back with the new album Alienation. The most pleasant surprise in today’s show is the new album from Broadway Lafayette, a Cajun music project that features Mick Collins, Mama Rosin and Matt Verta-Ray from Speedball Baby. The second half of the show is filled with interesting stuff from the Balkans. We feature releases from the Canadian label Ill In The Head Records which specializes in Yugoslavian music. They have currently two releases on vinyl, Bernays Propaganda remix record and The Marshmallow Notebooks debut. From Croatia, we have the new stuff from San Mikulec and his Snooze In Motion and a very special collaboration between Branimir Živković of Overflow and Zvonka Obajdin of Svemir. Finally, we play some new and rare old tunes from the legendary PeÄ‘a VraneÅ¡ević of Laboratorija Zvuka.
