We also check out the music from Rickie Lee Jones and Madeleine Peyroux, who are collaboration on a new tour together. The New Pornographers have a new record and so does the singer of The Ettes, Coco Hames. Guided By Voices recorded a new, lengthy double album too. But a special treat today is a block in which we check out separate projects of each new member of Ty Segall’s band. Charles Mootheart has a new CFM album and so does Emmet Kelly with his Cairo Gang. We introduce the pianist Ben Boye and his band Joshua Abrams And Natural Information Society, who also have a new album out.

Today we hear the new music from Bernays Propaganda (actually and old live recording that just came out on their bandcamp page), Hills from Sweden, Winstons from Italy, and The Intended from Detroit. Duke Garwood is a guitarist and a former collaborator of Mark Lanegan on their Black Pudding project. Fancey is a new band from Todd Fancey from The New Pornographers.
A couple of new things this time… Matthew Houck is a new name here at The Little Lighthouse. He is from Brooklyn and performs under the moniker of Phosphorescent. Then we have two new bands from Austin TX – The Strange Boys and Harlem. Both bands have done some work in the past few years so they are already on influential record labels. Harlem is on Matador and Strange Boys are on In The Red. We’ve been following Thee Oh Sees since their great debut album The Master’s Bedroom is Worth Spending a Night In. They are now back with a new LP called Warm Slime. The New Pornographers are also back with the new lp called simply Together The show is dedicated to the four dead in Ohio – the Kent State University shootings killed four people and one huge dream forty years ago.
